Objectives		A CMDB is used by IT for the fundamental purpose of keeping track of the tools of its trade. And yet, many IT organizations have found it extremely difficult to find ways to document their own tools, to make this information useable and keep it accurate and up to date. Although the theory, the vocabulary and the relations of Configuration Management to other processes are well described in standard ITIL training, Configuration Managers are often at a loss as to how to apply these principles to the complex reality of their own organizations and infrastructures.

Prerequisites		There are no formal prerequisites for this course. However, participants with previous ITIL® training and with practical experience in Configuration Management or Service Catalogue Management will benefit the most.
