Objectives Problem Management is one of the most important processes for continual improvement of any Service Provider’s services. Although the theory, the vocabulary and the relations of this process to other processes is well described in standard ITIL training, Problem Managers can also benefit from practical and pragmatic support in learning and using the methods, tools and deliverables of Problem Management.

The Problem Management Maestro Class is designed for practicing IT Problem Managers, and for anyone with responsibilities for designing and implementing Problem Management processes and tools.
Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for this course. However, participants with previous ITIL® training and with practical experience in Problem Management will benefit the most.

Subject Matter
Techniques of activities such as Problem Classification, Prioritization and Root Cause Analysis; determination of appropriate staffing and skills for the Problem Management roles; optimization of the Problem Management processes and activities, including proactive problem management; methods for defining, measuring and using Critical Success Factors, Key Performance Indicators and metrics for Problem Management; tech­niques for identifying typical issues and challenges in Problem Management, with strategies for addressing them; review of tools useful for Problem Manage­ment, how to configure and integrate them.
