Objectives

To gain an overview of IT Service Management best practice, the Service Lifecycle, the scope, contents of the principle Service Management disciplines, and the relationships among the disciplines.

To learn the standard ITIL® 3 vocabulary.

To be prepared for ITIL® 3 Foundation certification.

Duration Three days
Prerequisites There are no formal prerequisites. However, a basic experience in at least one discipline of IT Service Management is highly desirable.
Subject Matter The course covers a general introduction to ITIL, Best Practice and IT Service Management; including:
  • Service Management as a practice;
  • The Service Lifecycle;
  • Key principles and models;
  • Generic Service Management concepts;
  • Selected processes, roles and functions;
  • Technology and Architecture

Instruction is performed via lecture, interactive discussion, exercises, and practice examination questions.

Included with the course fee are printed copies of all course materials as well as the itSMF publication An Introductory Overview of ITIL® V3.

Certification The course concludes with the APMG Certification examination.
Languages The course is delivered in English or in French. For public courses, please consult the calendar. Any combination of spoken and written English and French is available for private courses.
Guarantee Students who do not successfully complete the APMG certification at the closure of the course may repeat the course at no additional charge, other than the examination fee.
Price Sfr 1'950, plus VAT, includes tuition, all materials, lunch and beverages during pauses, examination fee.
Conditions Registrations should be received at least 3 weeks before the start of the course.

Concentric Circle Consulting reserves the right to cancel any classes due to insufficient number of students enrolled.

Reimbursement in case of annulation by a participant:

  • 100%: 20 working days or more before the start of the course
  • 90%: fewer than 20 working days before the start of the course
  • 50%: fewer than 10 working days before the start of the course
  • 0%: fewer than 5 working days before the start of the course
